Weight of the CP is less by 4-5 times than steel pipes, they can be delivered by vehicles handling capacity, or without transport at all, no cranes, other hoisting machines are needed (6-m long steel pipe with diameter of 150 mm is 81 kg, but the composite pipes of the same sizes is just 20 kg). This feature is particularly relevant in hard-to-reach or urban areas where machinery cannot be used.

Application of the composite pipes as sleeves

Composite protective sleeves are used to protect pipelines against environmental loads and mechanical damages at intersection with underground structures, roads, rail and tram tracks, and for purposes of possible detection and removal of gas in case if protective sleeve of a gas pipeline is damaged. Fundamental advantages of the protective sleeves is fast assembly not requiring high-qualified experts and suspension of pipeline operation, as well as: no welding, corrosion, protection against stray currents, universality of assembly, service life is over 30 years, leak tightness, no service required.
